Buckingham Railway Centre - Sunday 16th May 2001
Like many events this year the Banbury Steam Society's usual event at Bloxham was cancelled due to the Foot and Mouth crisis. There was however a small event held on the same weekend at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre.
Surprisingly, despite good weather and this being one of the first events of the year to be held the turnout of both engine and spectators was somewhat low-key. This was a shame because it was an enjoyable event and the different surroundings made a nice change.
We all look forward to next year when the rally returns in its traditional format.
