Elvaston Steam Rally - Sunday 8th July 2001
This years Elvaston rally was held at its usual location of Elvaston Country Park, this did of course have the advantage that they were not affected by foot and mouth as many other rally this season have been.
Elvaston is always a popular rally that attracts many vistors by the nearby cities of Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, I would imagine that for many vistors it is there one and only trip to a Steam Rally every year.
The rally has a reputation for raising large amounts of money for local charities, unfortunately last year the weather was not good and they suffered financially. The weather this year was good so lets hope a profit was made.
